Your client list stays yours.
That’s the whole deal. Here’s the detail.
What we ask for
Names. ABNs or ACNs if you have them. That’s it.
Names of the business clients you want covered. Upload a spreadsheet and we read four things: name, ABN, ACN and your own reference.
Every other column is ignored and never stored.
What we do with it
One thing.
We match it against public registers so we can tell you when something changes.
What we will never do
- Contact your clients. Not once, not for any reason.
- Sell your list, or share it with another customer.
- Market to it, or to anyone using it.
- Tell your clients, or anyone else, that you use Catchwind.
Your clients can’t tell
They don’t get an account. They don’t get an email. They don’t agree to anything, because nothing about them is being collected that isn’t already public.
From where they sit, their adviser is simply on top of things.
Who touches it
A database, an email service and a payments provider, each given only what its job needs. They’re named in our privacy policy.
Sole traders
A sole trader’s name and ABN are personal information, and we treat them that way. We report business facts only: a licence, a registration, a contract, a grant. Never a home address, a date of birth or anything personal.
How long we keep it
While you’re a customer. Cancel and we hold your list for 90 days in case you come back, then delete it. Want it gone sooner? Delete it yourself from your account, any time.
Your side
When you add your list, you confirm you’re entitled to share it with a service provider. It’s the same test you already apply to your practice software.
